News - Mufti Amini threatens tougher programmes to unseat government
Dhaka, May 19 (UNB) - Chairman of a faction of pro-opposition Islami Oikya Jote (IOJ) and Islami Ain Bastobayan Committee ameer Mufti Fazlul Haque Amini on Saturday threatened to go for tougher programmes including hartal to unseat the government.

“The present government is the key problem for the country… no problem will be resolved until this government goes,” he said at a press conference at his Lalbagh office in the city.

Amini said their future hartal programme would be different and they would remain active in the field during hartal hours.

Accusing the government of pushing the country into darkness, he said the darkness would soon be removed through a “painful downfall” of the government.

Islami Ain Bastobayan Committee’s nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Obaidullah Faruk, Khelafot Andolon secretary general Maulana Jafrullah Khan, and IOJ leaders Zahirul Haque Bhuiyan and Maulana Abul Kalam were, among others, present.
