Kamrunnesa School moves to semis beating Anandamoyee School 2-0

Dhaka, May 20 (UNB) - Kamrunnesa School reached the semifinal of the UCB First Women’s Hockey eliminating Anandamoyee School by 2-0 goals at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium here today (Sunday).

Fabiya Nushrat Biya and Rakhi Halder scored two field goals for the winners in the 34th and 44th minutes respectively.

Both the semifinals will be held on Tuesday (May 22) at the same venue.

Group A champions Dinajpur Municipal School will face Group B runners-up Bandarban District in the first semifinal while Group B champions Narail District will play Group A runners-up Kamrunnesa School in the other semis.

Earlier in the last Group B match, Narail District defeated Bandarban District team by 3-0 goals at the same venue Sunday afternoon.

Sampa Biswas, who made hattrick in the opening match, today scored twice in the 43rd and 48th minutes respectively while Taslima netted other goal for Narail.
