4 held with liquor in Narsingdi

Narsingdi, May 24 (UNB) - Police arrested four alleged drug peddlers along with foreign liquor and beer from Moidhyakandapara and Bilasdi areas of the district town on Tuesday night

The arrested were identified as Bhajan Chandra Bhoumik, Sajal Das, Habibullah and Opu Saha of the district town.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police, led by Inspector Mamunur Rashid Mondal, conducted a drive in the areas and arrested the drug peddlers with nine bottles of liquor and 180 cans of beer.

Three cases were filed under the Narcotics Control Act in this connection.

The arrested were produced before a court on Wednesday that sent them to jail hajat.
