
Dhaka, May 24 (UNB) – Share prices at the country’s twin bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed marginal gain in the early hours of trading on Thursday, the closing day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DGEN, gained 17.01 points or 0.35 percent to reach 4845.78 at 11:30 am. Of the issues traded till then, 137 advanced, 41 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
The CSE key index, CSCX, also gained 30.62 points to reach 9177.96 at 11:30 am. Of the issues traded till then, 53 advanced, 22 suffered losses and 17 remained unchanged.
On Wednesday, the DSE index lost more than 76 points to close at 4828.77 points.
