News - Malaysian surgeons to operate upon Bangladeshi patient
Dhaka, May 25 (UNB)- A team of specialist cardiac surgeons of Malaysian National Institute of Heart will operate upon a Bangladeshi patient at Ibrahim Cardiac Centre here on Saturday.

Some 60-70 Bangladeshi Cardiac Surgeons will watch the operation to gather knowledge about the Malaysian Cardiac Surgeons’ technique. The operation will be done free of cost.

Dr Mary Wong, Chief Executive Officer of Malaysian Healthcare Travel Council, said this at a press conference held at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity on Thursday.

Briefing reporters, she said such operation as well as other treatment facilities will be provided free of cost in Bangladesh in collaboration with other hospitals here in the future.

She said the healthcare services of Malaysia has world-class standard. It has immense potential in increasingly health tourism sector.
