Dhaka, May 26 (UNB) - Flame Boys emerged Group B champions to reach the super four stage of the Igloo Metropolis 2nd Division Men’s Handball League beating Nabadwip Sangha by 39-37 points in a group match at the Shaheed (Capt) M Mansoor Ali National Handball Stadium here on Saturday.
Quantum Foundation also moved into the super league as Group B runners-up eliminating Tipu Sultan Sporting Club by 21-15 points in the day’s other group match while Singna Sangha defeated Rajdhani SC by 19-17 points in the day’s last group encounter on Saturday.
The four-team super league with Group A champions Old Bandura Nabin Setu Sangha, Group A runners-up Star Sports, Group B champions Flame Boys and Group B runners-up Quantum Foundation, begins here tomorrow (Sunday) at the same venue.
In Super Four League, Old Bandura Nabin Setu Sangha will play Quantum Foundation at 3 pm while Flame Boys will meet Star Sports at 4 pm on Sunday.
