Skipper Lata helps Gulshan Youth to earn 127-run win over Indira Road KC

Dhaka, May 26 (UNB) - An all round performance by skipper Lata helped Gulshan Youth Club to earn a 127-run victory over Indira Road KC in the 4th Women’s Club Cricket League at BKSP ground-2 in Savar today (Saturday).

Batting first after winning the toss, Gulshan Youth Club scored a moderate 195 for all in 38.3 overs.

Captain Lata made the match highest 47 runs off 48 balls featuring six fours while Reshma scored 37 and Sharmin 28 runs for Gulshan Youths.

Nurun Nahar and Jannatul Ferdous grabbed three wickets each conceding 31 and 34 runs respectively while Rita Saha took two wickets for 38 runs.

In reply, Indira Road KC were dismissed for 68 runs in 31.1 overs with Dipa Rani making 18, Sadia 11 runs.

Yamin Rupa claimed four wickets for 15 run while Papiya grabbed two wickets for 10 runs. Lata, who scored the match highest 47 runs, also grabbed two wickets for 15 and was adjudged player of the match.

In the day’s other match, Rising Girls Cricket Academy beat Kalabagan KC by six wickets at the BKSP ground in Savar.

Batting first, Kalabagan KC were all out for 107 runs in 28.3 overs with Sultana scoring 21, Soma and Urmi making 15 runs each.

Laboni, Jonaki and Arifa took two wickets each conceding 21, 22 and 30 runs respectively.

In reply, Rising Girls Cricket Academy reached their target scoring the match-winner 108 runs for 4 in 27.5 overs.

Two down Arifa, who claimed two wickets for 30, scored the match highest 33 runs to be adjudged player of the match while Nupur added another 25 runs.

Sabrina and Soma took one wicket each.
