Stocks fall in early trading

News - Stocks fall in early trading

Dhaka, May 27 (UNB) – Share prices at the country’s twin bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed negative trend in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first day of the week.

The DSE benchmark index, DGEN lost 42.79 points or 0.89 percent to reach 4755.12 points at 11:45 am today. Of the issues traded till then, 29 advanced, 161 declined and 16 remained unchanged.

The CSE key index, CSCX also lost 93.78 points to stand at 9031.41 at 11:45 am today. Of the issues traded till then, 9 advanced, 78 declined and 6 remained unchanged.
