Heat wave may continue

Dhaka, May 28 (UNB) – Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely at many places over Khulna, Chittagong, Barisal and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur and Dhaka divisions in 24 hours till 6 pm tomorrow (Tuesday).

Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi division and the regions of Tangail, Faridpur, Dinajpur, Jessore and Kushtia and it may continue as mild heat wave, Met Office said.

Day and night temperature may fall by 1-2 degree Celsius over the country.

The highest maximum temperature is likely to be 37-38 degree Celsius and lowest minimum temperature may be 22-23 degree Celsius.

The sun sets in the capital tomorrow at 6:41pm and rises on Wednesday at 5:11am.

Country’s highest temperature 39.5 degree Celsius was recorded today at Rajshahi and lowest 23.2 degrees at Rangpur.
