Dhaka, May 30 (UNB) - Former senior vice-president of the Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) Sangita Ahmed has been elected its president for the 2012-14 year term.

The election to the BWCCI executive committee was held at its annual general meeting (AGM) here on Tuesday.

The AGM was held at the Diploma Engineer’s Institute in the city with its outgoing president Selima Ahmad in the chair, said a press release on Wednesday.

The other office bearers of the 14-member executive committee are senior vice president Munmun Rahman of Inspiration Ltd, vice president Hasina Newaz of Archid Printers, treasurer; Fazwia Naaz of F.N. Intl and board members; Naila Chowdhury of Tele Consult Group, Sabina Alam Mita of ABC Real State, Farzana Chowdhury, Green Delta Insurance Co. Ltd, Gulshan Nasreen Chowdhury of Radiant Institute of Design, Soheli Akter Beg of Beg Steel Industries Ltd, Fatema Begum of Al-Hossain CNG Feeling Station, Tania Wahab of Karigor, Tania Karim of TKNR Associates, Nazma Ahmed of Well-done Apparels and Kamrunnahar Anu of Adridiza Handi crafts.
