Dhaka, May 30 (UNB) - The super league matches of the Walton Metropolis Premier Division Cricket resumes tomorrow (Thursday) after more than two months with much-talked about Abahani-Victoria match at the Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah, Narayanganj.
The super league matches were suspended on March 28 following the Abahani-Victoria fixture where Abahani refused to play in the middle of the match protesting Pakistani International Mohammad Yousuf “playing illegally” for Victoria SC.
After a series of meetings with officials of the clubs, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) eventually arranged a replay of the Abahani-Victoria match.
However, the remaining three rounds of super league matches will be held on June 2, 5 and 8 at Fatullah (Narayanganj), BKSP (Savar) and Bogra.
Old DOHS SC dominates the league table securing 20 points while Gazi Tank Cricketers follow closely with 18 points, both playing 12 matches.
Victoria SC and Abahani Limited collected 16 and 12 points respectively, both playing 11 matches, as their ill-fated 12th round match will be replayed on Thursday as per the decision of BCB.
