Dhaka, June 02 (UNB) – The Second Asian Trade & Tourism Fair (2nd ATF-Dhaka), will be held in capital on September 20-22.

A total of 15 countries will participate in this year`s ATF, to be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre at Agargaon in Sher-e-Banglanagar.

The first-ever Asian Trade & Tourism Fair (1st ATF-Dhaka), the biggest trade and tourism exposition of the country, was held in Dhaka from September 20 to October 1 last year with 14 countries participating and more than 20,000 visitors from home and abroad roaming the fair venue to see 19-attractive stalls.

Organisers said the objective of the mega event is to develop tourism linkage among all Asian countries.

They hoped that the event will help link up regional stakeholders and help Bangladesh`s largely untapped tourism sector flourish.

About 200 different stalls from 15 countries will take part in this year`s ATF, they informed.

This year`s trade and tourism exposition is likely to attract more than 30,000 visitors, including foreign ones, they expected.

Encouraged by the success of the `1st ATF, organisers are hoping that this year`s event will be much helpful with participation of more countries. ``Moreover, this year`s event will be even successful as a wider range of items will be showcased, offering various options to the potential visitors``, they added.

The three-day gala event will be held under the auspices of monthly travel magazine `Parjatan Bichitra` in collaboration with Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) with the support of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry.
