News - Stocks show uptrend at opening
Dhaka, June 3 (UNB) – Share prices at the country’s twin bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed a rise in the early hours of trading on Sunday, the first day of the week.

The DSE benchmark index, DGEN, gained 39.06 points or 0.82 percent to reach 4773.40 at 11:20 am today. Of the issues traded till then, 172 advanced, 22 declined and 18 remained unchanged.

The CSE key index, CSCX, also gained 47.76 points to stand at 9007.56, also at 11:20 am. Of the issues traded till then, 55 advanced, 26 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
