UP chairman suspended in Rajbari

Rajbari, June 4 (UNB) - Khandaker Mashiul Azam Chunnu, chairman of Baliakandi Union Parishad (UP) in Baliakandi upazila, has been suspended as he was a charge-sheeted accused in a criminal case.

As per directives of the Local Government Ministry, Baliakandi Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) ATM Mahbubul Karim issued the suspension letter on Sunday.

One of the panel members will act as acting chairman, said the UNO.
