Panchagarh, Jun 4 (UNB) – One person was killed and two others were injured as a tractor plunged into a roadside ditch in Sadar upazila early Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Maksedul Islam, 30, the tractor helper and a resident of Khulshipukur village in Thakurgaon district.

Police and witnesses said the tractor skidded off the road and fell into the ditch at Dhakkamara Sarderpara after its driver lost control over the steering in the early hours, leaving Maksedul dead on the spot and two others injured.

Sub-inspector Basunia of Panchagarh Sadar Police Station confirmed the accident.
