BB to releases new 5-taka coin on Thursday

Dhaka, June 4 (UNB) – Bangladesh Bank (BB) will release on Thursday new Tk 5 coin engraved with the portrait of the founder of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The new coin will initially be available at the Bangladesh Bank head office while it will gradually become available in all the central bank branches and commercial banks, BB general manager AFM Asaduzzaman said on Monday.
