Woman’s body recovered in Laxmipur

Laxmipur, Jun 5 (UNB) – Police recovered the body of an unidentified woman from a canal at Syedpur village in Sadar upazila on Monday noon.

Local people spotted the body of the woman, aged around 26, draped in sari and burqa in the Syedpur canal and informed police.

Later, police from Dattapara camp recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police suspected that miscreants killed the woman 2/3 days back and dumped the body in the canal.
