Woman crushed under train in Jessore

Benapole (Jessore), June 6 (UNB) – A housewife was crushed under the wheels of a train at Bhanga Gate in Abhoynagar upazila of Jessore on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Rahima Begum, 18, wife of Ismail of Alamdanga village in the upazila.

Railway police said Rahima was critically injured as the Khulna-bound inter-city train hit her while she was crossing the rail track in the area at night.

Later, Rahima died on the way to a local hospital. The body was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy.

A UD case was filed.
