Garmin has unveiled its zumo 350LM for motorcycle riders. The 4.3-inch glove-friendly touchscreen features a waterproof exterior that will withstand rain and “fuel sprays,”. It will also sit inside your car thanks to an included mount and built-in speaker.
The device will let you pipe turn-by-turn voice-guided navigation through the sunlight-readable device to compatible Bluetooth headsets or helmets. You can also record your bike’s maintenance work with the service history log feature and use Garmin’s Basecamp utility to plan your trips beforehand.
It sounds like a good choice for bikers. If you prefer two wheels over four, this may be the unit to purchase. The zumo is expected to cost $699.99 and will be available in the third quarter of 2012.
