Man beaten to death in Khulna

Khulna, June 7 (UNB) –A man was beaten to death by some unidentified miscreants in broad daylight on Shamsur Rahman road in the city on Thursday noon.

The victim was Uzzal Saha, 38, son of Mrinal Kanti Saha of Bagmara upazila.

Police said a gang of 4-5 miscreants coming in two motorbikes beat up Uzzal with sticks, leaving critical wounded at about 12:30 pm in front of Zohora Khatun Kindergarten School on the Shamsur Rahman road when he was waiting there to pick up his daughter from the school.

The injured was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor declared his dead.

The motive behind the murder could not be known immediately.
