Body of an adolescent girl found in Noakhali

Noakhali, June 07 (UNB) – Police recovered the body of an adolescent girl from a ditch at Naori village of Sonaimuri upazila on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Lugna Akhtar, 16, daughter of Oman expatriate Lokman Hossain of the village.

Family sources said Lugna went missing from her house since 9pm on Tuesday.

Later, being informed by locals police recovered her body in the morning and sent it to Noakhali Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Her body bore marks of deep cut in both sides of jaw.

She was set to married off by her parents after Ramzan.
