Prisoner dies in Natore jail

Natore, June 8 (UNB) – A prisoner died at the district jail on Friday.

The deceased is Abdul Karim, 60, of Banbelgharia area in the town. He had been serving a six-month jail term since March 25 in a drug case.

The jail authority said Abdul Karim fell sick in the morning and was admitted to Natore sadar hospital where he died later while undergoing treatment.

Natore sadar hospital doctor Tulshi Chandra Roy said Karim died of heart attack.
