Dhaka, June 10 (UNB) – Outgoing Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Shah Md Ziaur Rahman paid a call on President Zillur Rahman at Bangabhaban on Sunday afternoon.
During the meeting, the outgoing air chief apprised the President that the present government has taken many development programmes to modernise Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), hoping that such programmes would continue in the future.
The BAF started procuring a good number of second generation aircraft and also the jet fighters with digital cockpits as part of the initiatives to modernise the force, he informed.
President gave him a patient hearing and appreciated the outgoing air chief for discharging duties with sincerity and competence.
Secretaries to the President’s Office were present.
