Injured Jubo League worker dies in Jessore

Jessore, June 12 (UNB) - A Jubo League activist of Jessore succumbed to his bullet wounds at Dhaka Medical College Hospital early Monday.

The deceased was Tariqul Islam, 26 of Talikhola area. Police said Tariqul suffered bullet injuries during a clash between two factions of local Jubo League in Talikhola Police Line area of the town on June 6.

Kotwali thana OC Abdul Jalil said eight people, including Tariqul were injured during the clash ensued over establishing dominance in the area.

Tariqul was first taken to Jessore Medical College Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died.
