Benapole (Jessore), June 14 (UNB) – A teenage boy, who went missing on Sunday, was found dead at Navaran Jadabpur village in Sharsha upazila of Jessore on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Akash Hossain, 14, son of Ali Akbar of the village.

On information, police recovered the body of Akash from a jute field behind Akiz Biri Factory in Navaran and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Jhikargachha thana police said miscreants abducted Akash on Sunday from the Navaran Bazar, chopped him to death and dumped his body in the field.

The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately.

A case was filed.
