Pabna, June 14 (UNB) – Three people traveling on the roof a bogey of Silk City, an intercity train, were killed as they were hit by overhead iron bars of Koidanga Railway Bridge in Bangura upazila on Thursday evening.

One of the victims was identified as Kowser, 25, son of Amir Ali of Chapainawabganj district.

Police said the accident took place at about 7.30pm.

They said three other rooftop travelers of the Rajshahi-bound train were also injured in the accident. They were admitted to Bangura Health Complex.

The bodies were also taken to the health complex for autopsy.

According to press reports, some 200 people were killed in such accidents on the bridge in the last 10 years.
