Benapole (Jessore), June 15 (UNB) – RAB members arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 300 grams of hemp at Hakoba village in Monirampur upazila of Jessore on Thursday.

The arrestees were identified as Umapad Mitra, son of late Nani Gopal and Shamsur Rahman, son of Shyam Ali of the village.

Acting on secret information, a team of RAB-6 raided the house of Umapad Mitra at night and recovered 300 grams of hemp from his possession.

Following his confessional statement RAB arrested his aide Shamsur Rahman from the village.

The elite force said they were involved in drug peddling since long.
