Housewife killed in lightning strike

Barguna, June 16 (UNB) – A housewife was killed as lightning struck her at Dhupati village in Sadar upazila on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Jainab Akhter, 30, wife of Badal Mir of the village.

Local sources said she was returning to home along with her cow from nearby field during heavy rain when thunderbolt struck her, leaving her dead on the spot at about 10am.
