Dhaka, June 16 (UNB) - Arif Hossain (Moon), Towfiqul Islam Tofa and Azmal Hossain Tapan were elected EC members to fill the three vacant posts of the 15-member executive committee of Bangladesh Football Federation in the election held at the BFF House today (Saturday).
Out of the four candidates, Arif Hossain Moon polled 94 votes, Towfiqul Islam Tofa 93 votes and Azmal Hossain Tapan 85 votes to be elected EC members while another candidate cum former BFF general secretary Anwarul Haque Helal lost the poll with 49 votes.
The day’s election started at 11 am and closed at 2 pm at the BFF House.
Earlier in the BFF election on April 30, twelve out of 15 members of the committee were elected and the four of the candidates were tied polling 56 votes each.
