2 drug pedlers held in Magura

Magura, June 18 (UNB)- Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested two alleged drug peddlers  along with  hemp and heroin here on Sunday night.   

The arrestees were identified as Saiful Islam, 50, resident of Raotara village and Babu, 28, son of Ajgar Sheikh of Sajiara village in Sadar upazila.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Magura thana Asaduzzaman Munshi said on secrect information a team of DB police conducted a raid at the house of Saiful Islam and arrested him along with half kg hemp at night.

He was involved in drug trading since long, police said.

In another drive, DB police arrested a man while he was selling heroin in front of distirct jail the same night.

Two separate cases were filed against them.
