Dhaka RMG factory owners express solidarity with Ashulia counterparts

Dhaka, June 18 (UNB) – Readymade garment factory owners in Dhaka on Monday expressed solidarity with the owners of Ashulia area and handed over a symbolic key of their factories to BGMEA president M Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin.
 
They authorised the BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association) President for taking any decision if any unusual incident erupts in their factories like Ashulia.
 
Sayed Fazlul Ahsan Shamim handed over the symbolic key of the Dhaka factories to BGMEA president M Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin.
 
Former BGMEA president Abdus Salam Murshedi and garment owners from different parts of Dhaka – Tongi, Gazipur, Manikganj - was present at the function held at BGMEA Bhaban.
 
The RMG factories owners placed a six-point demand, including taking initiatives to stop the anarchy in the RMG industry and taking action against those responsible and subsequent exemplary punishment to them.
