Housewife’s decomposed body recovered in Nilphamari

News - Housewife’s decomposed body recovered in Nilphamari
Nilphamari, June 20 (UNB) – Police recovered the decomposed body of a housewife from a haystack in Dimla upazila on Tuesday.

The victim was identified as Laxmi Rani, 32, wife of Nagendra Nath Roy of Uttar Jhunagachh Chanpani village in the upazila.

Locals said Laxmi Rani who had allegedly developed an extramarital affair with Parimal Nath Roy, 30, son of Surendra Nath Roy of the village went missing on the evening of June 16. Parimal also went on the hide since then.

Smelling stinky odour coming out from the hayrick of Paritosh Chandra Roy of the village around noon, locals removed straw only to spot the decomposed body of Laxmi.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Officer-in-charge of Dimla Police Station Monirul Islam said prima facie investigation proved that Laxmi was murdered.
