Dhaka, June 20 (UNB) – National Consumer Rights Protection Department (DNCRP) in separate drives fined 18 business establishments Tk 130,000, instantly realizing the amount from them in Manikganj, Bogra and Nilphamari on Wednesday.
The businesses were fined for violating consumers` right.
DNCRP Dhaka divisional deputy director Mohammad Shah Alam, Rangpur divisional deputy director Kamrul Hasan Ferdous and Rajshahi divisional deputy director Sukumar Chandra Kundu led the drives in Manikganj, Nilphamari and Bogra respectively.
RAB, police, Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) and concerned district administrations assisted the DNCRP teams, an official release said.
