News - Khaleda in conspiracy abroad to halt war crimes trial: Maya
Dhaka, June 21 (UNB) – Opposition Leader Khaleda Zia has now been hatching conspiracy abroad to halt the trial of war criminals, Dhaka City Awami League general secretary Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya said on Thursday.

“Awami League will resist all anarchies of the opposition to complete the ongoing war crimes trial,” he told a human chain in front of the National Press Club in the city.

Mahanagar Chinnamul Hawkers’ League organised the human chain demanding speedy trial of the war crime accused.

Maya said a section of people are spreading propaganda against the government terming it a failure for destroying the image of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina but they never look towards the success of the government like maritime boundary case win against Myanmar.

About the opposition’s demand for restoration of the caretaker government system, he said Awami League doesn’t join any dialogue on condition. “Join parliament and take preparation for next general elections,” Maya asked BNP.

Dhaka City Awami League leaders Shahidul Isalm Milon and Abdul Haque, Hawkers’ League president Harun Ur Rashid, among others, joined the human chain.
