One crushed under train in Chuadanga

Chuadanga, June 22 (UNB) - A sexagenarian man was crushed under the wheels of a train at Darshana rail station in Poradah thana early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Barun Kumar Devnath, of Gobindapur village in Khanshama upazila of Dinajpur district.

GRP police said Barun met the tragic end of his life when he along with his wife and nephew was going to Jessore by Shimanta Express train.

He got down from the train as it halted at Darshana rail station. When the train restarted, Barun tried to get into it hurriedly and was crushed under its wheels.

Contacted, Railway Poradaha thana officer-in-charge Sekendar Ali confirmed the incident. A case was filed with Poradaha thana.
