BNP leader chopped to death in Natore

News - BNP leader chopped to death in Natore
Natore, June 22 (UNB) - A local BNP leader was chopped to death by miscreants at Ichalbaria village in Shingra upazila Thursday night.

The victim was identified as Nazmul Haq, 35, a leader of BNP Dahia union unit.

Police said some miscreants picked up Nazmul from his fish enclosure at night and chopped him indiscriminately. They fled the scene leaving him on a cropland.

Local people rescued Nazmul and took him to upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.

Officer-in-charge of Shingra police station Faizur Rahman said he was killed following a previous enmity.
