Jhenidah, June 22 (UNB) – Six people, two policemen and four children, were injured in a bomb blast at Gopalpur village in Moheshpur upazila on Thursday.
DB police SI Anwar Hossain said on secret information a team of police raided a house of Babu of the village and recovered 200 bottles of phensidyl from a storehouse for paddy at about 9pm.
Later, the law enforcers started searching a cowshed within the premises, at that time a bomb fell on the ground from a basket and exploded, leaving them injured.
Four children- Biplob, Enamul, Polash and Rashed- were admitted to Jessore Sadar Hospital as their condition deteriorated while SI Alim and constable Rashed Hasan took admission to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital.
