News - Train derails in Comilla, snaps rail link with Ctg
Comilla, June 23 (UNB)-Train communications on Dhaka-Chittagong route remained suspended for four and a half hours following a train derailment near Sasidal rail station in Brahmanpara upazila Saturday.

Railway sources said a compartment of ‘Turna Nisitha’, the Dhaka bound train from Chittagong, veered off the track at about 3 am, snapping rail communications on the route.

Later, the train service resumed at 7:30 am when a relief train coming from Laksham removed the compartment. However, no casualty was reported.
