Worker dies in chimney collapse

Rajshahi, June 23 (UNB) – A worker died when chimney of a rice mill collapsed at BSCIC Industrial Estate on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Aminul Islam, who hailed from Aziz Maria village of Lalmonirhat district.

Local sources said two workers, Aminul and Abdur Razzak, were injured as a boiler chimney of Haque Auto Rice Mill suddenly broke down and fell on them in the morning.

On information, local fire service personnel rushed to the spot and rescued and took them to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Later, Aminul died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
