News - Outgoing Army Chief meets President

Dhaka, June 24 (UNB) -Outgoing Chief of Army Staff Gen M Abdul Mubeen paid a farewell call on President Zillur Rahman at Bangabhaban on Sunday.

During the meeting, the outgoing Army Chief expressed his gratitude to the President for extending his all-out cooperation for development of the Army as well as the Armed Forces during his tenure.

Gen Mubeen apprised the President that Bangladesh Army has been built as a modern one and the development process in the Armed Forces would continue in the future.

The outgoing Army Chief also said Bangladesh army is more competent, skilled and disciplined than any other time in the past.

President Zillur Rahman gave him a patient hearing and thanked the outgoing Army Chief for discharging his duty with utmost competence. The President also wished his better life in future.

Secretaries to the President’s office were present.
