NCRPD fines 17 business establishments Tk 2.2 lakh in 4 dists

Dhaka, June 25 (UNB) – National Consumer Rights Protection Department (NCRPD) in separate drives slapped Tk 220,000 fine on 17 business establishments for violating consumer rights in Dhaka, Jessore, Chittagong and Gaibandha districts on Monday.

The money was instantly realised for the offending business establishments.

Deputy directors Md Moniruzzaman, Jubaer Ahmed, Robiul Alam and Md. Kamrul Hasan led the drives in Dhaka, Chittagong, Jessore and Gaibandha respectively with the help of RAB, police, CAB, BSTI, BCSIR, Fisheries Department and concerned local administrations.
