Dhaka, June 26 (UNB) – Bangladesh Development Bank Ltd (BDBL) has approved a Tk 68.60 crore net income for the year 2011.
The approval came at the second annual general meeting of the BDBL held on Tuesday at BDBL Bhaban in the city, said a press release.
The release said the bank disbursed loans worth Tk 78.56 crore during the period and realised Tk 164.81 crore.
The bank disbursed Tk 5 crore as dividend to the government during the year. Besides, it managed a Tk 630.15 crore additional capital from its own fund during the year.
Chaired by senior director of the bank Prof Santi Narayan Ghosh, the meeting was attended, among others, by board members Amalendu Mukherjee, Md Khalilur Rahman Siddique, M Ishaque Bhuiyan, Selima Ahmed, Krishibid Moshiur Rahman (Humayun), Md Fayekuzzaman and Managing Director Zillur Rahman. Â
