Sunamganj, June 26 (UNB) – Road communication between here and Sylhet was snapped as flood water submerged the Sunamganj-Sylhet road in Chhatok upazila this (Tuesday) evening.

Low-lying areas of district town and Chhatok upazila also went under flood water, said local Water Development Board sources.

Water Development Board said River Surma was flowing 8.90 cm over danger level, submerging the Sunamganj-Sylhet road and the low-lying areas.
