Arms recovered in Jessore

Benapole (Jessore), June 27 (UNB) - Police recovered a pistol loaded with bullets from a garden at Hanua village in Monirampur upazila of Jessore on Tuesday night.

Police said local people caught a young man named Mafizur Rahman, 29, son of Idris Ali of the village while he was moving suspiciously in a nearby mango orchard and informed them.

But before their arrival Mafizur managed to flee the scene leaving behind his 9mm pistol in the orchard.

A case was filed in this connection.
