1 crushed under train

Chuadanga, June 27 (UNB) – A man was crusher under an inter-city train near Darshana level crossing on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Amjad Hossain, 43, son of Hira Mandal of Dakkhin Chadpur village of Damurhuda upazila.

Darshana GRP (government railway police) sources said the Khulna-bound `Simanta Express` train from Syedpur of Rangpur district ran over him as he was crossing the rail line, leaving him dead on the spot early in the morning.

Sekander Ali, Officer-in-Charge of GRP, Poradaha thana, confirmed the incident.

A UD case was filed.
