Tk 960.52 cr budget of Chittagong City Corporation announced
Chittagong, June 28 (UNB) – The Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) announced its Tk 960.52 crore (Tk 9605270,000) budget for 2012-2013 fiscal year on Thursday.
Mayor Manjur Alam announced the budget at the packed KB Abdus Sattar auditorium of CCC Bhaban in the afternoon.
Development sector got the highest allocation of Tk 484.50 crore in the budget.
Mayor Manjur Alam said the total amount of the 2012-13 CCC budget is Tk 35 crore more than that of the outgoing fiscal.
The main aim of the budget is to reduce gap between income and expenditure of CCC to keep budget deficit at tolerable level, the mayor said.
He also said that only 40% of the previous budget (2011-2012) was implemented. The budget for the outgoing fiscal was 915.15 cr.
