Road crash leaves one dead in Gazipur

Gazipur, June 30 (UNB) – A man was killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Tangail highway at Harinhati area in Kaliakoir upazila on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Hikmat Ali, 55, of Uttar Kanchonpur village in the upazila.

Locals said a Gazipur-bound bus hit Hakmat Ali, while he was crossing the road in the area at about 9.30am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Gazipur Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
