Naogaon, June 30 (UNB) – A village police was killed in a road accident on Naogaon-Rajshahi highway near Haji Gobindapur Community Clinic in Manda upazila on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Shaheb Ali, 60, a village police of Kusumba union parishad and son of late Asgar Ali of Kusumba Thanthaniapara village of the upazila.

Police said a Naogaon-bound bus of Rajdoot Paribahan from Rajshahi hit him from behind in the area when he was returning home from Deluabari Haat of the upazila on a bicycle, leaving him dead on the spot at noon.

On information, police recovered the body.
