Dhaka, July 1 (UNB) – Labour and Employment Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain left here for New York on Saturday night to attend the special session of the Economic and Social Council of United Nations.
The two-day session titled ‘Annual Ministerial High-level Segment’ will be held at UN headquarters in New York on July 2-3, according to a press release of the ministry.
The theme this year has been selected as ‘Promoting productive capacity, employment and decent work to eradicate poverty in the context of inclusive, sustainable and equitable economic growth at all levels for achieving the MDGs’.
The minister is expected to return home on July 6.
