Shibir’s procession foiled, 8 injured

Rajshahi, July 1 (UNB) – A procession brought out by Islami Chhatra Shibir came under attack by police, leaving eight people injured at Katakhali in the city on Sunday.

Police also arrested 10 Shibir activists after dispersing the procession at noon.

Local sources said police charged baton on the Shibir activists when they brought out a procession demanding the release of arrested Jamaat leaders.
